STRASSER Steine – the future of the kitchen
With a market share of around 65 percent, STRASSER Steine GmbH is the Austrian market leader in the field of high-quality kitchen worktops (natural stone, ceramics, Alpinova, quartz composite) and the largest producer in Central Europe. The company has been producing in the Upper Austrian Mühlviertel, the heartland of granite, for almost 60 years. By founding its own sales company in Kösching near Ingolstadt, the company has also had a nationwide presence on the German market since the beginning of 2016. International sales are handled by kitchen and furniture retailers. In 2022, sales of 49.1 million euros were generated. At the end of 2022, STRASSER Steine had 285 employees.
The focus of production at STRASSER Steine is on high-quality kitchen worktops, which, in addition to natural stone worktops, have also included the first RE-STONING kitchen worktop - Alpinova - since mid-2022. The trend in today's society has been moving towards sustainability or recyclability for many years now. This trend has gained a lot of momentum - especially in recent months - and will also find its way more and more into the kitchen.
The return to origin was already part of the world of STRASSER Steine almost four years ago. With the introduction of the regional Alpenwelt range, it hit the spot then. Just like back then, the call for regionality is stronger today than ever before.
